The 2025 Ram 2500's standard 6.4-liter V-8 gasoline engine produces 405 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. All trims except the Power Wagon offer an optional 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo-Diesel inline-six. This exhilarating machine generates 430 horsepower and 1,075 pound-feet of torque. The diesel engine features a new turbocharger and higher-pressure fuel system. In both configurations, the new eight-speed automatic transmission significantly reduces engine rpm during highway driving.
Performance
The extraordinarily capable Ram 2500 delivers a maximum payload of 7,590 pounds across all trims. Models with the diesel engine can tow up to 36,610 pounds. The new eight-speed transmission with a reduced final drive ratio of 3.42 (down from 4.10) improves overall performance and fuel efficiency. Interior
A 12.3-inch digital instrument panel is standard on all 2025 Ram 2500 models.
